The author states that the only way you can fail is by not following the instructions or failing to understand and he was absolutely correct. One of the first instructions is not to try to give up smoking until you have finished the book. By the time I had finished the first chapter, I was absolutely itching to give up - straining at the leash - I just couldn't wait to stop the smoking habit that was dragging me down. Anyway, I carried on smoking whilst I read the book and finished it later the same day. What a relief to finish both the book and the habit. I have been a non-smoker ever since. I have bought several copies of the book since then, generally to give to friends who have wanted to stop but found it hard. It doesn't work for everyone, but for those who really try to open their minds and who do want to give up, it's great. The thing that makes it different is that it doesn't set about trying to explain why you should stop smoking - let's face it, we all know that anyway. Instead it really sets out so clearly all the things that keep you smoking and wanting to smoke, the things that make you give in to a craving. Once you know these things, you can be on your guard and actually use them to help you. Overall, a great book and if you are a smoker, then it is a lifesaver. It worked for me. DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS. I was at first sceptical about reading this book, but after reading the opening pages it said "if you fail to quit after reading this book then you are no worse off."
I have smoked for 8 years and read the book with an open mind and am pleased to say that I have not smoked now for 28 days and I have not even had the slightest desire to do so. I have had no cravings and feel like a different person.
I can breathe again, my heart is not constantly pounding as if I am about to have a heart attack, I am not as tired, I have more energy and am happy and content. This book allows you to understand why you smoke and once you realise that there are no benefits for you to smoke it is easy to stop.
In the past I have tried everything to stop from patches, gum, inhalers, cold turkey etc... the last time I managed to last 2 months without a cigarette but I was climbing the walls and constantly craving. I know that this time is different because I have no cravings and do not want to smoke anymore. I know that I will never smoke another cigarette or a cigar again.
I have saved £168 through not smoking and I have treated myself with a new watch. here's hoping! here's hoping, I was recommended this book my a friend who quit immediately on finishing it! It is actually easy I smoked for 40 years - tried most things and never succeeded for ONE day. My boss coerced me to read this after it worked for him. After I finished I had my last cigarette 6 weeks ago. Simples. It works by removing the fear of not having another cigarette and is really EASY. Please do yourself a favour by trying it!! I bought this copy to give to a friend. Brilliant If you want to give up smoking, this is for you. Smoke while you read it and when you get to the end of the book, you are a non smoker. I don't know how it works but it did for me, have not smoked for over 2 months. Best thing I ever did. Don't hesitate just buy this book and become a non smoker, it really is nothing short of a miracle.
