Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com a must have when in the field This paperback edition is ideal for use by both beginner and expert and is invaluable when poring over those suspect finds in the field. The book contains plenty of little nuggets of information that help clarify between similair species and the book is well laid out and easy to reference. This book will surely be the definitive field guide for decades to come. My best yet This book "fills in" the extra bits that's missing from my other books in assisting with identification e.g. images of the different plumages in juvenile birds which can lead to confusion in the field. Colins Bird Guide Recently re-worked and re-issued as 2nd edition, to take account of the latest taxonomic information. Lots of new artwork to cover newly recognised species and sub species. The same great quality as the origonal issue but packed with even more information. Probably the best field guide for UK and Europe. birthday present for obcessed twitcher I believe feedback so far is good on this book. Condition as described. Just the dust jacket damaged in one corner. Collins Bird Guide Huge amount of information packed into a book which you could carry. Clear pictures usually in flight and standing, male, female and juvenile. Pictures are a little small to allow all the variants to be included. Comprehensive notes on identification including notes on calls, and maps showing distribution. An excellent reference book.
